Discussion Board #5 – Overcoming Challenges – Discussion Board Group 2

One question that is often asked in job or graduate school interviews is: “Tell me about a challenge you had to overcome in the workplace.” This can be a difficult task because it forces you to discuss a time when things went wrong. I want you to read the following article, and use the tips within it to write your response to this question. Your response can be from your internship or practicum experiences or your job (if it is in a related field). I’d like you to structure your response using the acronym S.T.A.R. which stands for situation, task, action, and result.

0 points – no posts completed

5-8 points – Less than two response posts, and/or poor-quality posts in terms of thought and writing

12 points – Original post and two responses included, limited evidence of effort, room for improvement needed in the quality of writing

16.66 points – High-quality original posts as well as two high-quality response posts, solid evidence of thoughtfulness and effort, high-quality writing
