Journal #4

Journal #4–Self-Evaluation

You are at the halfway point in your internship and are being evaluated by your site supervisor. I would also like you to spend some time reflecting on your own performance thus far. Below are some questions I would like you to answer (be sure to write in full sentences and use complete thoughts)

  1. What do you consider to be some of your major on-the-job accomplishments since you began your internship?
  2. What are your strengths in your current position?
  3. What are the areas in which you need improvement?                                                                                                                                                                                          a. How will you work on improving these?
  4. What skills or new knowledge would you like to develop before the end of the semester?
  5. Have you spent time learning about all of the areas of the organization, or just the department you were assigned to?
    1. If just the department, how could you learn more about the organization as a whole?
  6. What goals would you be interested in working toward between now and the end of your internship? (Think carefully about this one. Try not to focus only on your project, but on the experience as a whole)
  7. How have you shown appreciation to your supervisor for the time they have spent mentoring you?
