Ethical behavior is very important from day one and thereby sets the tone in any organization, such as those representing a company while conducting an interview and the potential new hire candidate being interviewed. This ethical behavior, such as honesty and integrity, could be consequential in the recruitment efforts of the company and/or a successful job opportunity for the candidate. Guidelines are just that in that they have been established to create a directive in guiding to a specific goal for the company to be successful. This is important in the labor market for an organization to be competitively successful in gaining the best workforce. The number one resource for any organization is the employees and thus the lack of ethical or moral values shown or supported could lead to poor branding of the company.
