Please respond this posts, i only need about 200 words
Using the modal model of memory, the observations I can make is that the woman may have prefrontal lobe damage since she could not remember the words instantly after hearing the list. Her sensory memory may not be working well. With the delay, neurons are continuously firing during the delay and those words move to the short term memory and allows her to have a better recall than before. The woman pays more attention when she does the task herself. Therefore, the words start taking hold in her sensory memory to short term memory and then to long term memory for better later recall.
Using the working memory model, the auditory information was stored in the phonological loop, which stores only certain amount of information. The woman may have struggled in the phonological loop. With the delay, the woman could recall words and could not recall before, without the delay. When the woman reads the list herself, visual information stays in the visuospatial sketch pad and into the long term memory. At the final stage of central executive, the woman focuses and recalls the information from long term memory by coordinating with the visuospatial sketch pad.
A new model that can explain the result of this woman can be that, that the part of her brain that is responsible for storing incoming auditory information/ auditory memory might be damaged and the woman couldn’t remember the words straightaway after hearing the list of words. Now, the part of the brain that is responsible for storing small information more, with some more time it may have not been damaged and the woman may have been able able to recall after the delay. The visual information part of the brain, which is responsible for collecting the visual memory is active and thus, the woman was able to recall words that were read to her.
